Development works stymied by judicial stay orders: CM

‘Took tough decisions of handing over jobs to BPSC for the future of coming generations’
QUETTA (6 AM Report): Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudo0s Bizenjo has said that keeping in view the economic situation and the problems faced by the country and Balochistan, we have to make decisions with mutual cooperation which have a positive trickledown effect directly on the lives of the masses.
CM Bizenjo said that there are several development projects which are being delayed because of judicial stay orders and litigation, adding that they are creating employment opportunities and doing development works under very tough circumstance, adding that but a stay order jams the whole system.
He said that those who accuse him never understand their problems, adding that I have been given this responsibility by Allah and I am answerable to my Lord. Speaking on the floor of Balochistan Assembly here on Thursday, he said that people of different religions are living here for centuries in a peaceful manner and with a sense of security who have opportunities to offer their services in education, health and business.
He said that if the country’s situation is glanced at, one can only find a politics of accusation and degrading the opponents.
He said that the most important responsibility in power is to provide facilities to the people and their welfare, that was the reason why despite all the pressure, we managed to make recruitments on merit, for which there was a lot of pressure on his government.
“But I also took this tough decision for the future of our coming generation after handing over all the posts to the Public Service Commission, I know many of our people will be angry because the election is near and people here have made all the promises but I understand that Allah’s pleasure cannot be ignored and merit cannot be trampled down,” CM Bizenjo added.
He also requested to the ministers and allies to end the recommendation culture while protecting merit from being trampled.
He said that the government is taking steps to ensure long-lasting peace in the province and inter-faith harmony is very important, in which the role of scholars is indispensable.
CM Bizenjo said that fingers are pointed at politicians but their problems are not discussed here, only those who distribute jobs are praised. “Our people do not know the value of their vote. And a few people put their future on the line for a job. Now these attitudes must end.” Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo stressed.
