MASTUNG/CHAMAN (6 AM Report): As many as two Levies Personnel were martyred in district Matung on Tuesday in a firing incident by unknown assailants. According to the details, unknown armed men ambushed the checkpoint of Levies Force near Deengarh area at Babri Chowki. As a result, two Levies men lost their lives instantly who were identified as Manzoor Ahmed and Muhammad Aslam.
Rescue teams reached at the site of incident shorty after getting information.
Assistant Commissioner of the area Barkat Baloch said that force have laid a cordon around the area and hunt for culprits is underway. In yet another incident, a police personnel was injured in a firing incident in Chaman while in retaliatory firing a man, believed to be an attacker, was gunned down. Police say that the incident occurred on Mall Road Chama outside Chaman Press Club when two motor bike riders open fire on Police. The injured police personnel was shifted to the Hospital and the dead body of the deceased was shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital, say police. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo and Home Minister Balochistan Mir Zia Langau have condemned the attacks on Police and Levies personnel in Chaman and Mastung and have said that the anti-national elements want to create chaos in the province.
They expressed solidarity with the injured and conveyed their condolences to the family of deceased, saying that the provincial government would foil all the bids aimed at destabilizing the province.
