No delay will be made in approving finance bill: President assures FM

ISLAMABAD (Online): President Arif Alvi has assured Finance Minister (FM) Ishaq Dar that no delay will be made in approving finance bill FM Ishaq Dar called on the president Arif Alvi Wednesday.
Government has sent finance supplementary bill-2023 under the advice of Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif to Aiwan-e Sadr for the approval from the president.
As per sources the president was briefed on the need of implementation of the law in the backdrop of accord with IMF.
The financial legislation was approved in national assembly on Monday evening with majority vote in the presence of opposition members which was presented by finance minister Ishaq Dar.
It is interesting to note that Mehmood Moulvi the first loyal member of Imran Khan took oath of his membership in national assembly on the same day. He was elected as MNA from Karachi East-4 in by polls. He was not present in the assembly at the time of passage of finance supplementary bill.
