Five killed, 11 injured as bomb rips through busy market in Rakhni
CM Bizenjo directs Home Dept to review security plan in the province
QUETTA/RAKHNI (6 AM Report): As many as 5 people were killed and 11 injured in a bomb blast that was planted on a motorcycle in the Barkhan area of Balochistan, on Sunday.
According to the police, the people who lost their lives were identified as Mir Khan, Kamal Khan, Gul Khan, Abdul Aziz and Rahimo died while 11 were injured.
The injured were shifted to the hospital soon after the incident by the rescue teams.
According to the police, the explosive material was installed in the motorcycle. Several vehicles, motorcycles and shops were damaged in the blast.
Police and other security agencies cordoned off the area following the incident.
Police say a case has been registered into the incident and investigations are underway.
Meanwhile: Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has asked the Home Department and the Police to review the security plan of the province in the view of the recent incidents of terrorism and to reorganize it and make the ongoing operations against terrorists more efficient and effective.
The Chief Minister has instructed to keep the committees established at the district level active and to establish integrated links between the law enforcement agencies and to develop the information exchange system on modern lines.
Meanwhile, while condemning the Rakhni blast, the Chief Minister has expressed his heartfelt grief over the loss of precious lives in the blast and has said that the designs of anti-national elements will not be allowed to succeed.
The Chief Minister has directed that the explosion victims should be provided best health facilities.
The Chief Minister expressed his condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families and prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased.
Meanwhile, Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Longau has strongly condemned the explosion in Rakhni, adding that peace was restored in Balochistan after the immense sacrifices of the people, forces and police.
He said that the antagonistic countries were trying to destabilize the country and their efforts to this effect would be foiled.
Provincial Information Adviser Mitha Khan Kakar has also strongly condemned the Rakhni bomb blast and has said that the loss of precious human lives is very sad and those who target innocent people do not deserve to be called human beings.
He added that the conspiracy of anti-national elements to destabilize Balochistan and Pakistan has been foiled by our forces He also expressed his condolences and solidarity with the affected families. The Provincial Information Advisor further said that the government will take all possible steps for the speedy recovery of the injured and provide them with all medical facilities.
