Sibi Mela opening ceremony graced by dignitaries
SIBI (6 AM Report): The three day historic Sibi Mela Kicked off here on Friday with the Provincial Minister for Irrigation Muhammad Khan Lehri as its chief guest.
According to the details, Provincial Minister of Education Mir Naseebullah Marri, Provincial Minister of Irrigation Mir Mohammad Khan Lahri, Provincial Municipal Secretary Mir Dostain Jamaldini, Provincial Secretary Livestock Balochistan Arshad Bugti attended the opening ceremony of Sibi annual historical and cultural fair (mela). Provincial Secretary, son of MPA Sardarzada Mir Kohyar Khan Domki, Commissioner Sibi Division Shahid Saleem Qureshi, DIG Police Sibi Range Munir Ahmad Sheikh, Deputy Commissioner Mansoor Qazi Sibi, Commandant Sabi Scouts, SSP Sabi Muhammad Yusuf Bhangar, Chairman Municipal Committee Sibi Chief of Khajak Sardar Mohammad Khan Khajak, Chief Officer Sibi Muhibullah Baloch, District Education Officer Sibi Abdul Hameed Abro including district officers, tribal elders and important personalities were present on the occasion.
The provincial minister of irrigation Muhammad Khan Lehri was the chief guest and was welcomed by the commissioner Sibi division Shahid Saleem Qureshi and Deputy Commissioner Mansoor Ahmad Qazi.
The national anthem was played at the inauguration ceremony and the guests were presented with flower bouquets. Provincial Minister of Education Naseebullah Marri while addressing the opening ceremony said that earlier the fair used to be a traditional fair but now this fair has become a part of the society of the people here. “Sibi Mela is a tradition of Baloch traditions. In other provinces of Pakistan, people are living through different sources. In the past, agriculture and pastoral sectors were neglected. The people of Balochistan played a key role in the establishment of peace,” he said and added that the people of Balochistan played a key role in establishing peace. He added that they will correct the mistakes of the past and lead the country to the right path.
