QUETTA (6 AM Report): Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has said that he had met the federal government several times on the issue of electricity loadshedding but no tangible action has been taken in this regard. “I have met with the federal government several times on this issue, despite giving assurances, the issue of electricity is still not resolved,” he said and added that injustices has been done with the people of Balochistan because the livelihood of the most people here is linked with agriculture. He said that the federal minister, specifically the minister for power and water resources belongs to a nationalist party from Balochistan, adding that he should have played his role in this regard. He said that the farmers were justified in their protest and government stands with them, adding that principal secretary to Chief Minister has been instructed to resolve the issues with QESCO authorities.
He appealed to the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to address the injustice being meted out to the people of Balochistan so that the agriculture sector is secured.
