Fishermen express gratitude to CM for addressing their problems

GWADAR (6 AM Report): The fishermen of Gwadar have thanked the Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudous Bizenjo and Member of the Provincial Assembly Mir Hamal Kalmati for the protection of the rights and interests of the local fishermen.

“The present provincial government is the first government that not only took the problems of fishermen seriously but also took practical steps to solve them, including ending illegal trawling, granting labor status to fishermen, issuing health cards for fishermen and The construction of a residential colony is included, which was a long-standing demand of fishermen,” this was stated by a representative delegation of fishermen that called on the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo here on Thursday.

Member of National Assembly Muhammad Aslam Bhutani, Principal Secretary of Chief Minister Imran Gichki and DG Fisheries Saifullah Khetran were also present on this occasion.

Speaking to the delegation, Chief Minister said that the government’s topmost priority was to utilize all the resources for the welfare of the masses, adding that their clear policy and position was that the threats to the employment of fishermen will be removed in any case, especially in the marine boundaries of the province.

He also assured the fishermen that the complete elimination of illegal trawling will be ensured in any case, adding that no omission will be made to bring to justice those who are involved in this disgraceful business and if the people of the department are also found to be involved in it, they too would be taken to the task.

The Chief Minister said that the development projects of Gwadar and other coastal areas in PSDP will be completed as soon as possible by implementing the project of providing boat engines to fishermen. Engines will be provided to them. The Chief Minister said that no one can use the intelligent and patriotic people of Gwadar for their political purposes.
