BPLA demands transfer of Secretary CH&TE Deptt
QUETTA (6 AM Report): Balochistan Professors and Lecturers Association (BPLA), has demanded of the authorities to get Secretary, Colleges, Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Balochistan transferred, so as to save the department from severe administrative crises. This demand was made by Dr. Raziq Ulfat Kakar, General Secretary, BPLA while addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Saturday. He said that issues regarding policy of posting / transfer, research and publication grant, awarding BS, M.Phil, Ph.D scholarships, revamping of Directorate Colleges, functionalisation of BACT, devolution of powered, filling the vacant posts of Lecturers, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor through Balochistan Public Service Commission, ensuring transparency and merit while making posting on deputation basis and other issues had been addressed in parley held between Colleges, Higher and Technical Education Department and BPLA and accordingly minutes were issued on August 8, 2022, but regretfully minutes had not been implemented despite lapse of considerable period of time. He said that college teachers were being transferred without completion of their normal tenure, adding that transfer of BS teaching lecturers, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors has paralysed the BS program in the colleges. He said that the serving Secretary, Colleges, Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Balochistan was using derogatory remarks against college teachers.
He called on the authorities to get Secretary, Colleges, Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Balochistan transferred, so as to save the department from severe administrative crises.
On the occasion, Professor Tariq Baloch, President, BPLA, Abdullah, President, Balochistan Attach Officers Association Balochistan and others were also present.
