QUETTA (6 AM Report): Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar has said that Balochistan is a beautiful bouquet of all nations, the priority is to eliminate hatred between the brotherly nations and everyone in Balochistan, including Baloch and Pashtun, should take full part in the digital census.
While speaking to the bureau chief and editors of the newspapers here on Monday, he said that the government universities of the province are suffering from financial crisis. “We all have the responsibility to work for the betterment of our society as human beings, without the media, we and the government machinery are incomplete. We hope that the media will stand with us in the current tough situation,” he said and added that merely, the government machinery is incomplete on its own and the media is working as an eye for the improvement of the society, the coordination with the media will continue. He said that BUITEM has been has closed, and the salaries of the employees have stopped, while the books have not been delivered to the government schools across Balochistan.
‘Yes,’ he said that he has accepted the responsibility of the position to serve Balochistan. On March 15, he would go to Islamabad to discuss with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the Federal Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar the financial crises of the universities of Balochistan.
He said that robberies were happening and until the law and order situation was not improved, it is not possible to solve all the problems.
“I am a political worker.The funds of Governor House have been stopped by court and funds for petrol and tea have to be taken from Chief Minister,” he said and added that in Baluchistan all brotherly nations are living.
“I am not a Baloch or Pashtun, but a Balochistani and they all should fight together to end this discrimination,” he stressed.
“There is a lack of facilities in our hospitals and roads are broken in the city,” Governor said and stressed on both communities to participate fully in the digital census, instead of increasing the population of Baloch and Pashtun, they want to be a part of the census by looking at the problems faced by the province. “I am not only the governor of Balochistan National Party, but also the governor and representative of all nations living here,” he said.
