QUETTA (6 AM Report): Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo granted approval to the decisions of the 13th Provincial Apex Committee, here on Thursday
According to the details, the Apex Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister who gave this approval on a summary sent by the Department of Home and Tribal Affairs.
With the approval of the Chief Minister, the CMIT will conduct a detailed inquiry regarding the 43 people involved in the Bela Road accident and transport companies will have regular standing operating procedures to ensure safe travel. Moreover, action will be taken against those transporters and drivers who are found guilty of any mistake and omission.
There will be a complete ban on the delivery of petrol and flammable substances in passenger buses. Coordination will be established between all law enforcement agencies to provide fool-proof security to CPEC and non-CPEC projects and foreigners, especially Chinese residents.
Syllabus of educational institutions will be completely cleaned of anti-state and subversive material. The monthly meeting of the committee formed to eliminate unnecessary check posts will be held regularly and the approved jail reforms will be implemented soon.
IG Jails have to ensure security of all prisoners and provision of all facilities to prisoners as per Jail Manual. The purchase and sale of drugs will be completely remedied
An approved award will be provided for the police team conducting operations against drug mafia in City Nala and need for Social Welfare Department focus more and more on drug rehabilitation centers was stressed.
The proposal of the Traffic Engineering Bureau to solve the traffic problem of Quetta will be implemented soon and Manpower and capacity of CTD will be increased to ensure implementation of National Action Plan. Moreover, on the successful conduct of the exhibition match of PSL in Quetta, the administration, security personnel and representatives of the sports department will be given certificates of appreciation and one month’s basic salary as honorarium for the security personnel.
All Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners would hold regular District Review Committee meetings and share the minutes of the meetings with the Home Department.
