Health fundamental right of people, govt taking steps to ensure facilities: Aziz Uqaili
QUETTA (6 AM Report): Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Uqaili has on Friday said that health is the basic right of the people and an important part of life and the provincial government is taking steps to provide treatment facilities to the people within the available resources.
He expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of Medical Emergency Response Center (MERC) 1122 training.
He further added that the rescuers of Rescue 1122, whether it is day or night, wind or storm, are always trying to serve humanity and dedication, honesty and good morals of officers and employees in their duties are a role model for other government departments.
Secretary Health Saleh Mohammad Nasir, DG Health Dr Noor Mohammad Qazi, Project Director Covid Dr Naqibullah Niazi, Additional Director Logistics Dr Ghulam Mustafa, Focal Person DG Health Emergency Dr Hafeez Panizi, Director Admin 1122 Faisal Sharif was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Secretary expressed his commitment that all the rescuers will render their services to the people of the province in a better way than before.
It is pertinent to mention here that Merck 1122 ambulance services have been started in all major hospitals of Balochistan. The services will include emergency care services. 450 Ambulances of Balochistan Health Department will provide services under Merck. After three levels of training course, health staff will be able to deal with emergency medical situations.
Secretary Health Balochistan Saleh Mohammad Nasir while addressing the participants said that after the training new awareness will be raised among the medical staff and it will prove to be an important milestone regarding health in Balochistan.
