District administration remained alert during flash floods in Jhao, rescued many: DC

AWARAN (6 AM Report) : Following flash floods in Jhao in which a vehicle was washed away, the district administration Awaran reportedly remained on alert throughout the entire period, and on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Awaran Juma Dad Khan, the subordinate officers of the district administration and the entire machinery were present at the relevant place of Jhao since late night.

According to the available information, they took measures to remove the people who were swept away and finally the dead bodies of all the men who submerged were removed from the river.

It is further learnt that the bridge on the road was broken and the traffic flow was interrupted, the machinery of the district administration is working continuously and the work of repairing the road is underway.

Deputy Commissioner Awaran Juma Dad Khan has said that it is sad that the vehicle was swept away and the loss of human lives occured, but the Levies officials reached there immediately after the incident and the bodies were removed and sent to their area by ambulance.

He said that the machinery was still there and the road maintenance work was underway.

Meanwhile, the persons who were swept away in the water have been identified as Abdullah son of Maula Bakhsh Zehri, resident of Sorab Sikandarabad, Munir Ahmad son of Murad Bakhsh Zehri, resident of Sorab, Aisha Bibi Bint Khuda Bakhsh resident of Sorab, Noorzadi bint Maula Bakhsh resident of Sorab, Samia Bibi bint Munir Ahmad, Habiba Bibi bint Munir Ahmad and another daughter of Munir Ahmad.
