Govt providing sporting events to push inner talent of Balochistan players says Yousafzai

QUETTA (6 AM Report): Babar Yousafzai, Spokeperson for Chief Minister Balochistan, has said that players of Balochistan were not deficient of talent, therefore, the incumbent provincial government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo was taking concrete steps to provide sporting events to the players of the province for polishing the inner talent of players.

These views were expressed by him while addressing a function held  in connection with the semi final and final competitions of Archery event under “First Balochistan Games, 2023” held in the lawn of Pakistan Sports Board, Ayub Stadium, Quetta here on Saturday. He said that the incumbent provincial government has prioritised promoting all disciplines of sports, including archery, adding that besides providing essential equipments required for archery game, a suitable venue within the premises of Ayub Stadium, Quetta would also be allotted to Balochistan Archery Association to impart training of archery upon the archers of the  province. He said about 3000 players of different disciplines of sports, including archery, were participating in the “First Balochistan Games, 2023”, adding that Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Minister for Sports, Abdul Khaliq Hazara and Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department could be credited to have arranged a mega event of sports in the provincial capital.

Speaking on the occasion, Hammad Khan Kakar, President, Organization of Islamic Youth (OIY) said archery, which was an ancient traditional game of the province, needed to be promoted under the patronage of government.

Semi final and final events of Archery under @First Balochistan Games, 2023” were competed by the archers of Red Dragon Archery Academy, Archer Archery Academy, Saddam Archery Academy, Classic Archery Academy, Ghulam Ali Archery Academy, Raees Archery Academy and Fighter Archery Academy. In the final event of archery, archers of classic Archery Academy Tawaf Khan, Dawood Khan and Shahzad won gold medal by scoring 15 points. Archers of Red Dragon Archery Academy Tahir Ahmed Nurzai, Allauddin Kurd and Gul scored 10 points and won silver medal while archers of Archer Archery Academy Abbas Khan Kakar, Khan Muhammad and Shahab Ali won bronze medal by scoring 7 points. Faizullah Kakar was the chief jury of semi final and final events  archery competitions while Raees Saddam Khan was the organiser of archery event.

On the occasion, Hammad Khan Kakar, President, Organization of Islamic Youth, Nisar Khan Khilji, Secretary General, Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation, Muhammad Amin Badini, Secretary Finsnce, Balochistan Civil Secretariat Officers Welfare Association, Hameed Sarpara, President, Balochistan Professional Boxing Association, Lala Ayub Khilji, President, Balochistan Table Tennis Association, Rasheed Khan Nurzai and large number of spectators were also present.
