Interviews for VCs of 5 public universities underway

QUETTA (6 AM Report) : The interview process for the appointment of vice chancellors of five public sector universities of Balochistan is underway, it is learnt from official sources here on Sunday.

According to the details, the search committee is conducting the interviews of the candidates for the position of Vice-Chancellor which is comprise of includes Dr. Asma Haider IBA, Dr. Bika Ram, Dr. Dost Mohammad LU AMS.

Secretary Higher Education Hafiz Abdul Majid and Principal Secretary to the Governor are also members of the search committee which will select the Vice-Chancellors on the basis of merit and competence.

For the first time in the history of the province, the appointment of Vice Chancellor is being implemented through a search committee consisting of education experts.

Students, teachers and educational and public circles welcome the government’s initiative for upholding merit.
