CS emphasizes no negligence in service delivery during committee of sectaries meeting
QUETTA (6 AM Report): Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Uqaili has said that the provincial government is taking steps for the welfare of the people and all the officers should work day and night in the service of the people because we are here to provide basic facilities to the people.
He said this while addressing the secretaries committees meeting here on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Senior Member Board of Revenue Roshan Ali Sheikh, Secretary Law Abdul Saboor Kakar, Secretary Prosecution Ghulam Ali Baloch, Additional Chief Secretary Development Hafiz Abdul Basit, Secretary Local Government Dostain Khan Jamaldini and all secretaries while Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners participated through video link.
Projection of development projects, PSDP automation, purchase of wheat, establishment of e-service centers, Pakistan Citizen Portal, organization of thrift markets in the month of fasting and other issues were reviewed in the meeting.
Secretary Health Saleh Nasir, while briefing the meeting on departmental affairs, said that doctors guilty of neglecting their duties in hospitals will be dismissed from their jobs.
The Chief Secretary directed that the paramedics who are continuously absent from duty should also be dismissed. He said that no negligence in providing medical facilities to the public will be tolerated. He said that trained staff should be appointed to run the PCR machines in different hospitals.
The Chief Secretary said that the provincial government is taking measures to promote sports in the province and it is an honor for the province that the National Games will be held in Quetta after 19 years, which will bring a positive image of the province to the world including Pakistan.
He said that all available resources will be used to make the event a success and all possible facilities will be provided to the athletes participating in the National Games.
He said that planting trees is an ongoing charity and also the best way to serve humanity, adding that planting more trees is very important to keep the earth’s environment clean.
