QUETTA (6 AM Report): Former Chief Minister Balochistan and Central President National Party (NP) Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has said that if the same process was repeated in the upcoming elections, as in 2018, the people will lose faith in the federation and democracy.
Speaking to a private TV channel here on Sunday, Dr. Malik said that there should be no system of transfer posting and the people should be given the right to vote freely while avoiding the formation of new parties.
Abdul Malik Baloch said that clean and transparent elections are the most important need of the hour in Balochistan, in which there is no rigging system, transfer posting and the establishment of new parties, and the people should be given the right to vote freely.
“Whether they vote for Dr. Malik or any other candidate, our view is that the source of power is the people and people should be free to cast their vote to any party as per their choice,” he said adding that that the hopes of the people on this federation and the democratic process will die.
He said that in Balochistan overall the tendency of the youth in democratic politics is low, adding that hope things will go better.
