Governor says encouraging youth towards sports no less than worship

QUETTA (6 AM Report): Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar on Sunday has said that the youth are our future and capital, attracting them towards sports is no less than worship.
Talking to a delegation of players who called on him here, he said that every member of the society has to play a role for the promotion of sports, adding that there is a need to take special measures for the promotion of fencing sport in Balochistan and to encourage players.
Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar said that there is immense sports talent in Balochistan and to utilize this talent, it is very important to establish a sports academy at the grass root level, without which the development of sports is impossible and the government should provide sportspersons.
He further said that the efforts of Haji Qasim Yousafzai for the promotion of fencing sport in Balochistan are commendable, adding that every member of the society including the government has to play a role for the promotion of fencing sport in Balochistan so that our young generation can avoid drugs and social evils.
“Students are the architects of the future. Mentally energetic as well having a good healthy body is very important for a healthy mind. Serve the country and the nation with new youth sports fields, and to put the new generation of youth on the right path of life and to highlight their abilities, there is an urgent need for knowledge, awareness, peace, unity and discipline with sports,” Governor said.
