QUETTA (6 AM Report): Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Qudoos Bizenjo has directed the authorities concerned to start green bus service within three months in the provincial capital.
According to the details, the provincial transport department had purchased 8 green buses which were parked at Provincial Disaster Management Authority warehouse at Airport for months and the government had no plans to run these buses. However, several times they came to limelight through social and mainstream media and finally CM took notice of one such news and has directed the Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Uqaili to ensure the start of green bus service in the provincial capital within three months to ensure decent traveling services to the people of Quetta.
Department of Transport, Balochistan initially purchased these buses to run the service up to Baleli and Sariab in the first phase and Balochistan Transport Department had also proposed to buy 100 buses for the city. However, after thorough consideration, the government decided to purchase only 8 buses due to traffic and other administrative problems in Quetta city.
