QUETTA (6 AM Report): Those predicting and creating a favorable environment for the imposition of martial law should keep in mind that the country cannot afford any more adventures.
These views have been expressed by Central Senior Secretary of PashtunKhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Qadir Agha Advocate and Provincial Secretary Khushal Kasi in their joint statement.
They said that the talk of imposing martial law on political leaders engaged in usurpation of power is condemnable and regrettable, adding the aim of these misleading statements is to shake the people’s faith in democracy and is a failed attempt to divert attention from the real issues, because those who paved the way for martial law and its predictors may have forgotten that the country is stuck in debt.  They added that the military and its secret agencies are solely responsible for rigging, illegally overthrowing democratic governments, imposing terrorism and then destroying it, disappearing and killing people outside the constitution and law, and failing foreign and domestic policies.
They added that the martial law experiments have been done before in this country, which have resulted in worst political, economic, social and cultural results and due to these errors, the system of the country has not been managed yet.
They said that for more than four decades, the Pashtun, Baloch, Sindhi and Saraiki nations have endured the atrocities and abuses of the martial law, but now the patience of these nations has reached its limit and it is impossible to tolerate further violation of the constitution, violation of the law, cruelty and abuses, adding that therefore, if the mistakes of the past were repeated this time, they would have dire consequences and in case of trouble, the existence of this country will be in danger.
