Seven dead, 43 injured in Stampede during distribution of free flour

ISLAMABAD (Online): 7 people died whereas more than 43 were injured in stampede during distribution of free flour in different cities of the country.
As per reports from different parts of the country, 43 women have been injured, one among them has died due to police violence at free of cost flour distribution centers established in Quaid-e-Azam Stadium.
The eye witnesses has said, police could not control the crowd of people due to the closing of the Atta App. The flour was not being provided as the Atta App was closed.
According to sources, police have shifted the injured women to DHQ hospital. Furthermore, DC Sahiwal and DPO Sahiwal were also present on the occasion. A person died who waited for his turn for hours in a Rush. Stampede has taken life of an old lady in Muzaffargarh whereas 3 persons who were waiting for hours in the queues died due to heart attack in Multan, Faisalabad and Kot Addu.
A citizen has died due to crowd and Stampede there in Charsaddah.
Lack of discipline has been seen on the occasion of distribution of free of cost flour in Punjab and Khayber Pakhtun Khawa (KPK). The doors of the flour Mill were smashed and a women arm was broken. The severe stampede also occurred during distribution of the free of cost flour in HafizAbad and many men and women were also injured.
Police have also allegedly tortured to reduce the rush . Citizens blamed that, the incident has happened due to poor managements of the district administration. PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary had claimed in Press Conference of the Press on Sunday, 6 persons died during distribution of free of cost flour in previous 24 hours.
