Bahar Tahira represents Balochistan in UN Water Conference 2023

GWADAR (6 AM Report): Bahar Tahira Khalil, a student from Gwadar has participated in the United Nations (UN) Water Conference 2023 and represented Balochistan and Gwadar, it is learnt here on Wednesday.
Bahar Khalil is a medical student in China who represented Gwadar and Balochistan province as a young leader.
Director General Gawadar Development Authority GDA Mujeebur Rahman Qambrani informed on his twitter handle that GDA had provided financial assistance to the student to participate in the conference who represented Balochistan and Gwadar in the UN International Conference on Water as a young female ambassador from Gwadar.
Bahar Tahira Khalil was one of nearly 10,000 participants who gathered at UN headquarters and online to urgently accelerate action to address the water crisis and ensure equitable access to water for all. Shortage of drinking water has always been a problem in Gwadar and other adjacent areas of the province, but since the launch of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, special attention has been given to solving the problem of drinking water in Gwadar.
Various projects are being implemented under CPEC to solve the water problem. A 1.2 MGD seawater desalination plant is nearing completion. This plant is being completed with a grant from the Chinese government.
