Wali Kakar chairs review meeting of the federal institutions in Balochistan
QUETTA (6 AM Report): Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar presided over the review meeting of all federal institutions in the province, here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Kakar said that with the establishment of the citizen portal, it is necessary to maintain the process of responsibility, accountability and transparency of the institutions, including the access to the heads of the institutions to the public and overseas Pakistanis.
He further added that in order to restore the public’s trust in the government institutions, there will be a change in performance on a revolutionary basis, adding that instead of limiting the development projects to papers, their fruits should be shared with the people and the development process should be visible to everyone.
He said that awards will be given by the Governor House to the officers of the relevant institutions who have demonstrated extraordinary performance and introduced innovation in the institution.
He was of the view that there was an urgent need to increase integrated and effective links between all institutions. Governor Balochistan also directed to remove the public complaints within the stipulated time, expand the citizen portal, visit the areas and conduct public awareness campaign.
Many important decisions were made as a result of suggestions and recommendations of the heads of federal departments in the review meeting.
