QUETTA (6 AM Report): Assistant Commissioner City Quetta, Atta-ul-Muneem, conducted a raid on several homeopathic medical stores in the Masjid Road area of Quetta on the orders of Deputy Commissioner Quetta Shahak Baloch, following public complaints.
The raid was conducted along with Drug Inspector Akhtar, and they found that the stores were selling expired and substandard medicines, as well as unlicensed foreign drugs.
As a result of the raid, four stores were sealed and hundreds of packets of unlicensed, substandard, and expired drugs were confiscated. Speaking to the media, Assistant Commissioner emphasized that no one should be allowed to play with the lives and health of the people. He added that strict action would be taken against those who sell substandard and unlicensed drugs.
“The Deputy Commissioner’s directive and public complaints have led to a crackdown on such elements, and the government is determined to take strong action against those who put the public’s health at risk,” he said, adding that Assistant Commissioner warned that the government will not tolerate the sale of substandard and unlicensed drugs, and the raid was conducted to send a clear message to all such elements involved in this illegal activity.
