Action Committee closes classes in protest at UoB

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Balochistan University has fallen been facing financial crisis and the teachers, employees and officers action committee has announced to launch a protest movement, on Monay.
According to the details, the committee has locked all the departments and boycotted the exams, and a rally was held up to the main gate with a symbolic sit-in. The employees of UoB are facing non-payment of salaries for two months, pending promotions, up-gradation, time scale cases, and an amendment of the Universities Act. The leaders of the action committee, including Dr. Kaleemullah Khan, Prof. Abdul Baqi Jatak, Nazir Ahmad Lehri, and Shah Ali Bugti, have demanded that the central government issue a grant of four billion rupees to the provinces so that teachers worried about non-payment of salaries in the holy month can resume the teaching activities.
They are demanding representation of associations in the bodies of the university and a Joint Action Committee on the financial and administrative crisis facing the university. The committee has closed all offices, examination departments, classes, and transport, and has boycotted the BA, BSC examinations until their demands are approved.
