Governor Wali expresses concern over absence and inactivity of government officials in districts
Urges competent authorities to ensure the presence and activity of officials to improve provision of basic facilities and solve public problems in a timely manner
QUETTA (6 AM Report): Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar on Monday expressed his concerns over the absence and inactivity of government officials in various districts of the province, aside from the provincial capital, Quetta.
The governor emphasized the detrimental effects of such absences and inactivity on the efficiency of government departments and the provision of basic facilities to the people.
Governor Balochistan expressed his views while speaking to various delegations at Governor House Quetta on Monday. He warned that if government employees, doctors, and officers do not perform their duties honestly in other districts, there will be no development, and the people’s problems will not be solved. “The government is serious about solving public problems and will not tolerate any negligence on the part of government officials,” he added.
The governor stressed that competent authorities should ensure the presence and activity of government officials at their place of duty in every case, adding that instead of keeping a few people happy in the implementation of government policy, they should pay serious attention to securing the future of children.
He expressed sadness that even educated doctors who are well aware of the backwardness and poverty of Balochistan were not willing to go to their respective districts. As a result, health problems are getting worse, and the maternal and child mortality rate is the highest in Balochistan.
Governor Balochistan urged the government to implement a comprehensive plan to improve the situation in the education and health sectors. He reiterated that the Balochistan province is not limited only to Quetta city and that the government needs to ensure that government employees, doctors, and officers perform their duties honestly in other districts as well.
The governor’s concern over the absence and inactivity of government officials in various districts of Balochistan highlights a problem that has been plaguing the province for some time. The absence of government officials affects the efficiency of government departments and the provision of basic facilities to the people. Moreover, it hinders the timely resolution of problems faced by the people.
Governor Balochistan’s comments on the education and health sectors highlight the need for the government to prioritize these areas. The poor state of these sectors is a major concern, and it is essential for the government to implement a comprehensive plan to improve the situation. It is clear that the Balochistan province needs more doctors, teachers, and other professionals who are willing to work in the districts and rural areas to ensure the provision of basic facilities and timely resolution of problems.
