QUETTA (6 AM Report): Federal Minister Nawazabad Shahzain Bugti on Monday visited the Balochistan Rural Development Society (BRDS) office where he was briefed by the CEO of BRDS, Mir Haider Shahwani, and Program Director Mir Ahmed about the assistance provided by the organization in different areas of Balochistan.
During the visit, Mr. Bugti appreciated the efforts of BRDS and called it an institution of great importance. He also urged national and international donors to support BRDS in their projects to alleviate poverty in the region.
Mr. Bugti highlighted the importance of BRDS in areas such as Dera Bugti, Jafarabad, Kalat, Kachhi, Bolan, and emphasized the need to utilize the organization’s services to combat poverty. He further stated that the organization has played a significant role constituencies, including Sibi, Naseerabad, and Jafarabad, and has done an excellent job in plowing streets and planting trees along with the soil.
Moreover, the Minister stated that BRDS’s services would be used to solve the biggest problem of water scarcity in the region, and they plan to introduce a solar system to provide 24-hour electricity to the people soon.
He acknowledged that people in the city were struggling to meet their basic needs like water, which had forced many to relocate. However, with the help of BRDS, they would do everything possible to create fresh water in the region.
