BCDA regularizes 28 contract employees and construct resorts on PPP mode

GWADAR (6 AM Report): The Balochistan Coastal Development Authority (BCDA) held a governing body meeting on Tuesday, chaired by the Chief Minister of Balochistan and Chairman of BCDA, Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo. The meeting was attended by Secretary Fisheries, Kazim Hussain Jatoi, and DG BCDA, who gave a briefing on the agenda points.
During the meeting, it was decided that 28 employees who were recruited on a contract basis from 2012 to 2017 will be given permanent positions. However, action will be taken against the officers and officials who made illegal recruitments.
The meeting also focused on the development of the coastal belt and it was decided that resorts will be constructed on a public-private partnership (PPP) mode at seven places along the coastal belt. The management and operation of these resorts will also be controlled.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of the BCDA in the development of Balochistan’s fisheries and tourism industries. He instructed the BCDA employees to send a summary regarding the utility allowance and stated that the coastal development will be conducted under the PPP mode. The Chief Minister also expressed his commitment to taking decisions for the construction and development of the province.
The progress on the provision of services was reviewed during the meeting and the BCDA was instructed to issue tenders for the development projects related to the provision of basic facilities to passengers in 9 locations on the coastal belt as soon as possible.
The governing body meeting of the BCDA focused on the development of the coastal belt and improving the authority to promote the fisheries and tourism industries in Balochistan.
