Governor concerned over deteriorating cleanliness, traffic situation in Quetta

QUETTA (6 AM Report): Governor Balochistan Abdul Wali Kakar has expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of the roads and streets in the provincial capital Quetta, which was once called Little London due to its cleanliness and beauty.
Speaking to the media, the Governor urged the concerned authorities to take immediate and serious action to address the issue of deteriorating infrastructure in the city. He emphasized that roads are fundamental to urban life and without modern transportation and communication facilities, a city cannot function properly.
The Governor also highlighted the need to improve the traffic situation in Quetta, make building codes more effective, and ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation measures, including garbage disposal.
He stressed that all government departments, especially municipal bodies, need to improve their performance to provide better services to the citizens of Quetta.
The Governor’s concerns about the city’s condition come as residents have been facing difficulties due to the poor state of roads and streets, making commuting and transportation difficult.
