QUETTA (6 AM Report): A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University Professor Dr. Sajida Noreen at University to discuss financial and administrative matters of the university, on Friday.
Addressing the participants, the VC said that the entire country is facing economic difficulties, which is affecting all sectors of life. Various proposals were presented by the participants to improve the financial situation of the university.
In this regard, Dr. Sajida Noreen directed the Higher Education Commission and the provincial government to write letters regarding grants to address the crisis affecting all public sector universities in Balochistan.
She further said that the establishment of the only women’s university in the province two decades ago was aimed at promoting women’s education, and the university has been able to provide quality education to more than 10,000 female students in various fields. “The enrollment of female students in all campuses of the university, including Pishin, Khuzdar, and Noshki, is also a promising development, which will not only improve the educational standards in the province but also raise awareness among women,” she said.
