QUETTA (6 AM Report): Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo has expressed satisfaction over the start of providing ration to over 100,000 deserving families of Balochistan under the Ramazan package. “Despite limited resources, the government has provided assistance to the poor in this holy month,” he said.
Recognizing the challenges faced by people living below the poverty line, the Chief Minister said the government decided to provide them with ration, expressing gratitude to Allah Almighty for giving them the opportunity to use the resources of the people for their benefit. The Chief Minister directed the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to ensure speedy delivery of the Ramadan package containing quality food items to all districts of the province. He also directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure access to every deserving family and provide them with the Ramazan package, adding that this good work should be done as a moral and Shariah responsibility. “The distribution process should meet the requirements of justice and transparency to ensure that the deserving families receive the aid,” he stressed.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the officials involved in the distribution process should fulfill their duties in the true sense, or they will have to answer for any shortcomings in the distribution. He emphasized that there is no excuse for not fulfilling their duties as public servants.
