Quetta rocked by explosions: 4 martyred, 19 injured in separate blasts targeting police in Quetta

QUETTA (6 AM Report): At least four people, including two police personnel, were martyred and 22 injured in separate blasts targeting the police on Monday, officials said.
In the first blast at least four people were martyred and fifteen other sustained injuries in a blast near Qandhari Bazaar area here on Monday.
According to police sources, the blast occurred near the SP vehicle which was in the vicinity of the Qandhari Bazaar.
As a result, four people embraced martyrdom while nine others sustained injuries. According to Media Coordinator Health Department Balochistan Dr. Wasim Baig, four martyred people namely Maseem Abbasi, Muhammad Shuaib, Hikmatullah and Kulsoom daughter of Hameedullah were brought to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
He said that injured victims including Dilbar Khan, Nisar, Muhammad Ramzan, Lal Muhammad, Naseebullah, Jan Muhammad, Haris, Mir Gull, and Khalid were brought for treatment in the civil hospital. The law enforcement agencies reached the site and started the investigation into the incident. In another blast, at least four people were injured in an explosion at the Sariab Road area of Quetta on Monday. According to police sources, the blast occurred when a van of police was crossing the Burma Hotel area. As a result, four people got injured.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical aid.
The injured were identified as Shehzad, Habibullah, Ameenullah and Muhammad Reheem.
Police cordoned off the entire area and started investigations. Meanwhile Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar strongly condemned the bomb blast at Qandahari Bazaar area of the provincial capital on Monday.
The governor directed the health department to provide medical facilities to the victims. He instructed the law enforcement agencies to utilize all available resources to arrest the culprits involved in it.
He also prayed for the forgiveness of those who lost their lives and for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Meanwhile Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo strongly condemned the blast at Qandhari which left four martyred and nine injured on Monday.
He expressed his grief over the loss of lives in the act of terrorism.
The chief minister sought a report from the Inspector General (IG) Police on the incident of terrorism and security measures in the city.
He said that those who shed the blood of innocent people in the holy month of Ramazan did not deserve to be called human beings. The CM directed the concerned department that action should be taken against terrorist elements and their patrons. The security measures in the city should be made more effective in order to ensure the protection of public lives and their properties, he said. He expressed his condolence and sympathy to the families of the martyrs.
The CM directed that the best treatment facilities should be provided to the injured by imposing an emergency in the hospitals.
