‘It is heart-wrenching to see the people of Quetta struggling with different problems’:Wali Kakar
QUETTA (6 AM Report): Governor Balochistan, Malik Abdul Wali Khan has expressed his concern about the suffering of the citizens of Quetta in various tasks, saying that it is heart-wrenching to see the people of Quetta struggling with different problems.
He urged the Deputy Commissioner and the Administrator of Quetta to visit the city and its surrounding areas every day to alleviate the sufferings of the citizens. Governor Balochistan discussed this matter with the President of the Traders Association, Rahim Kakar, and Yaseen Mengal, in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Shakeel Baloch and the administrator of the Metropolitan Corporation, during a meeting at Governor House in Quetta on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Governor Balochistan pointed out that there are heaps of garbage in various parts of Quetta city and the deteriorating condition of the roads, which is a matter of deep concern. He further added that there are roads in Quetta that have not been repaired for the last 15-20 years. Rahim Kakar, the head of the Traders Association, assured Governor Balochistan of their full support and cooperation in keeping the city clean and improving the environment.
Governor Balochistan directed all relevant departments to take responsibility for cleaning the city, restoring street lights, traffic signals, and ensuring the attendance of employees. He also urged the officials to interact with the public, shopkeepers, and traders in different areas of the city to find out their problems. He stressed the importance of animal welfare and called for the eradication of stray animals, particularly cows and buffaloes, from the city.
