Lasbela University potential enough to promote blue economy: Governor

QUETTA (6 AM Report): Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan has emphasized the importance of Balochistan in the economic development of the region. He stated that the Gawadar port, which shines as a jewel in the crown of projects like the CPEC, is a crucial link in the economic changes happening in the area. “The long coastal strip of Balochistan has bestowed great responsibility on Lasbela University for the promotion of blue economy and marine sciences,” the governor expressed these views while speaking with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Dost Muhammad Baloch and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Jalal Faiz at the Lasbela University on Tuesday. On the occasion, Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar said that we need to plan for the future while keeping in mind the demands of the near future.
“In this regard, Lasbela University can play an important role in benefiting from maritime trade and strengthening the blue economy,” he added.
He noted that by making use of the latest research and innovation of the world, we can promote a healthy educational environment in the top educational institutions of the province, raise the educational standards, and align teaching methods with modern demands.
