BHC declares additional charges in gas bills null and void

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Balochistan High Court has declared the notification of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) charging additional charges in gas bills null and void.
Justice Kamran Mulakhail and Justice Ahmed heard a constitutional petition regarding additional gas bills. After hearing the arguments, the court invalidated the notification issued on February 15 regarding the recovery of previous charges in gas bills.
The court has summoned the authorities on May 15 and directed them not to disconnect gas meters for non-payment of bills until further notice.
The constitutional petition was filed by Advocate Nazir Agha Advocate, who claimed that consumers were being charged extra amounts in gas bills in the name of previous charges.
