BHC orders crackdown on coaches without tracker system

QUETTA (6 AM Report): On the orders of Balochistan High Court, the Chief Secretary Balochistan, Provincial Secretary Transport Dr. Muhammad Aslam Baloch, and Commissioner Quetta Division Sohailur Rahman Baloch, along with traffic police, PTA and RTA staff, took action against coaches that were found to be without a tracker system on Quetta-Karachi and Islamabad routes.
12 coaches were challaned, and one company office and one bus were sealed as a result. Two persons were also arrested, but were later released on the assurance of installing the tracker system.
The authorities have warned that all coaches operating on long routes must install the tracker system as soon as possible, or face the risk of being stopped and sealed.
a The tracker system is intended to prevent traffic accidents on national highways and ensure the safety of passengers. The system will enable authorities to check the speed of the vehicles and other routines, making the roads safer for all travelers.
