QUETTA (6 AM Report): Quetta Development Mahaz (QDM) has accused the administration and political parties of neglecting the census process and causing social and economic deprivation for the people of Quetta.
In a statement, QDM Leader Abdul Mateen Akhunzada and other senior members pointed out the negligence and silence of the political parties in the entire stages of the census. They reviewed the results of the census and found that Quetta is an abandoned city, which is being deprived of social backwardness and a sense of compassion. Millions of human beings are being played with, which requires change of stakeholders and freezing of status to prevent it.
QDM demanded a detailed review of the census, and called for a discussion with civil society to prepare a war-footed plan of action, with the collaboration of society and youth organizations. The plan of action will be based on a strong foundation, and will include the roles of the census commissioner as well as the governor and the heads of the federal parties. QDM accused the chief secretary and the district administration of Quetta of direct failure, and blamed the staff for neglecting the officials and officers of the Statistics Institute for meaningful and credible discussions.
QDM’s statement highlights the need for a change in the entire scenario, and the determination of the right way to protect and achieve the interests of the common man.
The organization believes that Quetta needs a stakeholder change to prevent social and economic deprivation, and to promote the interests of the common people. The QDM leaders called for a united effort from all stakeholders to address the issues and improve the situation in Quetta.
