GWADAR (6 AM Report): Gwadar Port in Pakistan has begun a new era of commercial activities with the arrival of Russian wheat shipments. The arrival of wheat shipments from Russia at Gwadar Port has created new employment opportunities for 100% of local residents.
According to an official of the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, the people of Gwadar and Makran are the biggest beneficiaries of this operation. So far, about 400,000 metric ones of wheat have been imported through eight ships from Russia, and the last vessel, MV Advance, will anchor at Gwadar Port on April 26, 2023.
The official further stated that after the arrival of wheat shipments at Gwadar Port, the workforce employed for the post-arrival activities is 100% local residents. This proves that the people of Gwadar are benefiting the most from the port, and it will help to improve the living standards of the people of Balochistan.
