QUETTA (6 AM Report): Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti, the son of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti, responded to a recent statement made by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, in which he referred to Bolan and Chitral as Pashtun regions.

Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti criticized Achakzai’s statement and accused him of trying to create misunderstandings and hatred among the people of Balochistan.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti clarified that neither Bolan nor Chitral are Pashtun regions. He accused Achakzai of playing the old card to please the establishment and spreading misinformation among the people. The son of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti further stated that Achakzai should clarify his position as a Pashtun because he belongs to a respectable tribe, but the Achakzai clan has dissociated itself from him.

Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti’s statement came in response to a recent statement made by Mahmood Khan Achakzai, in which he referred to Bolan and Chitral as Pashtun regions during a public gathering. Achakzai is a politician from Balochistan and the leader of the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party.

Nawabzada Jameel Akbar Bugti criticized Achakzai’s statement and accused him of trying to create misunderstandings and hatred among the people of Balochistan. He called on Achakzai to clarify his position as a Pashtun and stop playing divisive politics.
