Ayesha urges early measures to prepare for monsoon rains
Committee formed to survey main drains and take action against encroachment
NASEERABAD (6 AM Report): In preparation for the monsoon rains, Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Zehri has taken early measures to ensure the safety and well-being of the people of Naseerabad.
Speaking at a meeting with officers from various departments on Monday, Zehri stressed the importance of opening the main drains in the city and mobilizing departments to provide relief in emergency situations.
To address the issue of encroachments affecting the sewage system, Zehri has formed a committee chaired by Assistant Commissioner Dera Murad Jamali to survey the main drains and take action against any encroachments.
The municipal staff has also been instructed to clean all the drains in the city and keep them fully restored to avoid severe problems during the rains.
Zehri has also announced that heavy machinery from the MMD and Irrigation Department will be kept on alert to deal with any emergency situation that may arise. The public can expect timely measures to be taken to protect them from damages.
In addition, immediate steps will be taken to deal with any emergency situation in civil hospitals, civil dispensaries, and BHUs to ensure the safety of doctors and paramedical staff.
