QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo on Monday has emphasized the importance of technical education and ensuring workers’ rights while speaking at a recent event.
He has said that the government is taking steps to provide equal opportunities to all workers and eradicate discrimination based on race and color.
The Chief Minister stated that workers who possess technical skills play a crucial role in the construction and development of society, adding that therefore, the provincial government was developing polytechnic institutions across the province to equip the youth with high technical skills to improve their employability.
Moreover, he added, the government was committed to ensuring the legitimate rights of all workers and taking action against those who exploit them and recently, the provincial government had granted the status of workers to the fishermen of Gwadar, ensuring they were entitled to the same protections as other workers.
He added that the government recognizes the high demand for skilled Labour in the world and believes in a Labour policy that promotes the protection of workers’ rights. The Chief Minister emphasized that providing equal access to basic necessities for all human beings is essential for the formation of a positive and constructive society.
