QUETTA (6 AM Report): Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, a senior politician and Member of Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, has expressed concerns over the census process in Balochistan, claiming that some elements are trying to influence the process to get desired results.
He strongly condemned this behavior and called on the authorities to extend the date of census and not ignore certain areas.
Rind particularly highlighted the situation in Kachi Bolan, where people have been forced to migrate to different areas due to drought and recent floods. He stated that although the people of Kachi Bolan actively participated in the recent census, in many areas, neither the house census nor the census was conducted. ‘This is a reprehensible act,’ Rind said.
He urged the authorities to consider the people of Kachi Bolan high and relevant, especially since they are now settled in their own areas. “If the population of Kachi Bolan is reduced,” Rind warned that they would strongly protest against it.
Sardar Rind also gave a message to all the ethnic groups living in Kachi Bolan, asking them to put aside their political and personal differences and participate in the census where the census staff has not yet arrived. “They should point out the deficiencies and take a complete count of their people,” he said.
