Tribal elders of Hana Urak announce protest against ‘broken promises’

QUETTA (6 AM Report): Hana Urak, a suburb of Quetta and a tourist resort, is gearing up for protests and a sit-in against security forces’ failure to fulfill their promises. Notable tribal leaders including Malik Nasim Kakar, Sahibzada Sher Muhammad Kakar, and Molvi Wali Jan have expressed their disappointment in the relevant authorities who had made promises to move security forces from the area but failed to deliver on it.

As a result, the local leaders have announced that they will hold protests and a sit-in as part of a press conference in the coming days.

The local committee, comprised of various community members, has also requested that residents join them in this important effort to stand against what they call injustices perpetrated allegedly by the security forces. They have decided to follow a strict code of conduct during the protests and sit-in and have made preparations accordingly.

The committee has also urged the youth of the area to participate in the protests and sit-in, which will be held in Hana Urak Chowk. They have promised that the demonstrations will be peaceful and that they will continue until their demands are met. The community is hopeful that this time they will receive justice, and their grievances will be addressed.
