ZHOB: As per the decision of the advisory committee of the National Assembly and in pursuance of directives by Secretary Education Balochistan, a speech competition ‘My Constitution – Guarantee of my Freedom’ was organized by the District Education Office Zhob here.
The competition was held in order to celebrate the significance of the constitution in shaping the nation and guaranteeing the rights and freedom of the citizens. A large number of students from both boys and girls’ high schools of the district participated in the competition and presented their Urdu and English speeches.
District Education Officer Lal Jan Musakhail was the chief guest of the completion event held at Model Higher secondary school. Education department officers, headmistresses of various boys and girls’ schools, female teachers and students in a large number attended the event.
Addressing the participants, EDO Education Lal Jan Musakhail, DOE Sheikh Musa Khan Mandokhail, DDOs Asadullah Mardanzai, Ajab Khan Kakar, Education Secretariat Officers Muhammad Asif Rajput, Mehmood Khan Uyghor, Shaista Khan Mandokhail, principal model higher secondary school Wazir Khan Nasar, principal Zhob Militia Gul Rehman Mandokhail and Abdul Qadeem Mandokhail highlighted the history, importance and significance of the constitution and said that the constitution was the guarantor of the rights of all segments of society, which has come into an existence to create balance in societies.
‘The Constitution of 1973 is the manifestation of national consensus. It was passed by the National Assembly on April 10,1973. Its golden jubilee is being celebrated country wide this year,’ they said.
They also appreciated the hard work and self-confidence of the students who delivered their speeches.
