QUETTA (6 AM Report): The Young Doctors Association Balochistan held a provincial cabinet meeting at the WDA Hostel Sandeman Provincial Hospital in Quetta, chaired by Dr. Yasar Achakzai, Chairman of the Supreme Council. Dr. Kaleemullah Kakar, President of the Young Doctors Association Balochistan, discussed the organization’s successful past campaigns and outlined its organizational structure in detail.
All members of the provincial cabinet, as well as organizing committees for Sandeman Provincial Hospital, Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, and Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital, were present at the meeting.
The meeting covered the selection of the provincial executive, the selection of female doctors for the cabinet, the organization of teaching and non-teaching hospitals in Quetta city, the selection of organizing bodies for district-level hospitals in other parts of Balochistan, the initiation of membership drives for the Young Doctors Association Balochistan throughout the province, and measures to strengthen and solidify the organization.
Under the leadership of Vice President Dr. Habib Baloch, a committee was formed that included Dr. Jehanzeb Tareen, Dr. Arif Khan, Dr. Afzal Khan, and Dr. Dad Baloch. The committee will work to address issues facing doctors across the province, ensure the monthly salaries of house officers and PG doctors are released from the treasury, and ensure that the distribution of duties is done transparently. The Health Department was also requested to prepare a summary of the 3,000 vacant positions of doctors in the province.
Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) was urged to hold exams for these positions as soon as possible.
