Rozi Bakht becomes the First Pashtoon Footballer from Balochistan

QUETTA (6 AM Report): Rozi Bakht from Toba Kakari area has became the first Pashtun footballer of Balochistan. She has been playing football for the last 15 years. “I wish to represent Pakistan worldwide and raise the green crescent flag,” Rozi Bakht wishes.

She has made the name of the province and the country famous at several national and international levels in her football journey. Bakht said that she became interested in playing football from the ninth grade. During this time Bakht felt she has a bright future in this sport after which I decided to make this sport my life.

In beginning, my father felt that I was only interested in this sport, but when I expressed my desire; my father strictly forbade Bakht and told her to pay attention to her studies.  The relatives had even cut ties with her for playing football. They used to say that Bakht’s playing football is against their ‘honor’ but now my same relatives congratulate me on my success. When I represented Pakistan in Iran where she won a bronze medal.
