ISLAMABAD (ANN): Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan is at the top of the list with Rs 15,27,399 per month in terms of receiving salaries in Pakistan.
This revelation came during a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the parliament. Details of the salaries of the President, Prime Minister, and judges were presented in the meeting chaired by PAC Chairman Noor Alam Khan.
It was revealed that the Chief Justice’s salary is more than that of the Prime Minister and federal ministers. PAC Chairman Mr Khan, while reading out the details, said that the President of the country receives a salary of Rs 896,550, the Prime Minister Rs 201,574, a Federal Minister Rs 338,125, a member of the National Assembly Rs 188,000, while the Chief Justice of Pakistan’s Rs 15,27,399.
Mr Khan also said that a Supreme Court judge’s salary is Rs 14,70,711, and a grade 22 federal officer’s salary is Rs 591,475.
