Fazl says measures should be taken to eradicate ‘Fitna’
Says despite financial crisis presented a balanced budget
PESHAWAR (UNA): The ruling alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the events of the attack on the state on May 9 are a dark chapter in history and measures should be taken to eradicate the ‘Fitna’.
The PDM chief addressed a press conference in Peshawar on Monday and said the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ruthlessly destroyed the economy.
He said due to the PTI government’s wrong policies, Pakistan is currently under an economic crisis but the coalition government of the PDM presented a balanced budget.
Fazlur Rehman assured the nation that his party, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) will continue its sharing in the government’s efforts to provide financial relief to the people.
Talking about Pakistan’s foreign issues and ideological identity, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the introduction of Pakistan to the world has been changed as the Islamic identity has been abolished and it has been made a secular country.
He took a swipe at the PTI chief, “Kashmir is under assault due to the nexus of the PTI chief and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I requested the government to take strict action against the PTI chief”.
Anyhow, he reiterated his solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers.
Condemning the May 9 incidents in a strong term, he called for eliminating this mischief. “We should take strict steps against the people involved in the May 9 incidents,” he added.
He also welcomed Chinese investment in Pakistan.
Sharing his thoughts in line with the elections, Mr Rehman said, “Basically, the JUI-F will contest the elections with its own candidates across the country. However, there will be a margin for seat adjustments”.
Speaking against the culture of “foul language” in politics, Mr Rehman said, “Foul language in politics has affected the minds of the youth. There should be a proper period in our educational institutions to teach morals to children”.
