76th Independence Day celebrated in Quetta &  all over Balochistan with national spirit, enthusiasm

QUETTA (6 AM Report): The 76th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with national spirit and great enthusiasm in Quetta and all over Balochistan province on Monday.

The national flag hoisting ceremonies and different events were held and rallies taken out marking the celebrations of Independence in the metropolis and almost all the divisional and district headquarters of the province.

The main ceremony of Independence Day and flag hoisting was held at the spacious lawn of Balochistan’s provincial assembly on Monday. The Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali was the chief guest at the flag hoisting ceremony. He hoisted the flag at the lawn of provincial assembly.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief Secretary, Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Inspector General of Police, Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, General Officer Commanding of 41 Div, other senior officials, dignitaries from different walks of the life besides children of different schools.

Another ceremony was arranged at the Balochistan High Court’s courtyard where the Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan hoisted the national flag.

The ceremony was attended by the judges of High Court, senior lawyers and other staff of the High Court.

The Chie Justice spoke his heart out at the ceremony referring the importance of Independence Day for the nation.

Similarly, a grand ceremony marking Independence Day was held at the Balochistan Boy Scouts Association’s headquarter the same noon.

The renowned leader of Pakistan movement and companion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Qazi Muhammad Isa’s son, Qazi Azmat Isa was the chief guest at the ceremony.

The provincial commissioner of scouts and eminent lawyer, Amanullah Kanrani Advocate and a large number of people from different walks of life participated in the ceremony. The newly constructed administrative block in the Boy Scouts Headquarter was named after Qazi Isa.

Different other programmes marking the Independence Day were also held in Quetta city besides other parts of the province.

Another important event of flag hoisting was held at the lawn of Quaid-e-Azam Residence in Ziarat the same morning.

The tribal elders as well as the Commissioner Sibi Division, Deputy Commissioner Ziarat and other senior officials of Frontier Corps, police and other departments were among those participated in the ceremony. The Commissioner along with FC’s Brigadier and Principal of Al-Hijra School Ziarat hoisted the national flag.

A boat rally was taken out by the fishermen in sea of Gwadar. The boats participating in the rally were decorated with national flags.

The tribal elders and civil society took out Independence Day rally in Dera Bugti.
