JIT formed to investigate murder of journalist Jan

SUKKUR (Online): 7-member joint investigation team has been constituted to investigate the murder of journalist Jan Mohammad in Sukkur.

ISI, MI, IB, FIA, Rangers and police officers are included in joint investigation team.

According to notification issued in this regard, SSP Sukkur, IB and Deputy Director of FIA are included in JIT.

The investigation team will complete the investigation within a month and submit the report.

A case of murder of Jan Mohammad Mehar has been registered against 11 named and 3 unidentified persons and 15 suspects are in custody from Sukkur, Shakarpur and Rohri in this regard.

It is pertinent to say that Jan Mohammad Mehar Khan was gunned down by unidentified persons in Sukkur on Sunday.

According to policemen, journalist Jan Mohammad Mehar was attacked on Queens road on his way home from office due to which he was injured.

He was shifted to private hospital in critical condition but he died in the hospital.
