Electricity tariff likely to go up Rs 2.07 per unit

ISLAMABAD (Online): Preparations are underway to drop electricity bombshell on the consumers. The electricity tariff is likely to scale up by Rs 2.07 for power distribution companies.

CPPA GA has filed application in NEPRA seeking hike in power tariff under monthly fuel charges adjustment. In the event of approval, an additional burden of Rs 35 billion will be shifted to the consumers. NEPRA will hear the plea of Central Power Purchasing Agency on August 30.
